Then, choose a partner to interact with and reply to his/her post.
Best,
Jimena Rivadeneira, MA. TEFL.
b) I think Dr. Jekyll´s motivation to write his will was to protect himself and his fortune. He knew he has this terrible disease and that is why he wanted to make sure Mr. Hyde don´t go in need and coudl afford a living.
ResponderEliminarI think you are right but what if Mr. Hyde can´t use that money wisely in the future, that might be a problem. Dont you think?
EliminarYes! That is why we can see a change in Dr. Jeckyll when he assured his lawyer that Mr. Hyde was not going to appear again. I think from that point forward he was affraid of Mr. Hyde and regret his decision of leaving him with all his money
Eliminara) I think it was becuase Edward Hyde is a disturbed, rude and extremely dangerous man.
ResponderEliminarI agree with you, that moment was very strange for me but then I started thinking that maybe this character had a mental illness and that was the reason why he hallucinated or said nonsense things.
EliminarBECAUSE****
EliminarIf they are children, we should have calm and talk before making any decision.
Eliminarb)I don´t understand why Dr.Jekyll do it.Perhaps Dr.Jekyll had a huge debt with Mr.Hyde and that was the unique way to pay.
ResponderEliminarYes, I think Dr. Jekyll did some kind of experiment with Mr. Hyde, so he feels guilty about it and he wants to give him his money when he dies.
EliminarVery interesting guess.
Eliminarc) I think Dr. Jekyll sent Mr. Hyde to kill Sir Danvers Carew. Dr. Jekyll got very suspicious in the last chapters so it would not be very strange that he has bad intentions. The reason about thar order could be that Sir Danvers Carew knew something about Dr. Jekyll.
ResponderEliminarGood guess, Dr. Jekkyl seemed a man worried about his interest, even a bit selfish
Eliminarc) I feel that some characters including Mr Hyde are members of a organization or maybe they did a covenant and precisely Sir Danvers Carew didn't follow the rules or bring to light something that could harm everyone so the only way to silence him was the death.
ResponderEliminarYeah, totally agree with you. Don't know what is a covenant, tho. :P

ResponderEliminara) I think Mr. Hyde was upset and lost his calm because the child's body paid negative consequences.
ResponderEliminarHe was MORE than upset, imo.
Eliminare) I think Dr. Laynon knows the mistery between Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
ResponderEliminarYes, I think so too because he could recognized Dr. Jeckyll handwriting from the invitation to dinner he gave to Mr. Utterson. In addition, we could inferred that he willingly gave a hint of this mistery to Mr. Utterson
Eliminarc. There are a lot of things that we don´t know, and maybe one of the reasons for that kill could be one of these, taking the story, I think probably Hyde has a problem with the lawyer, because mention that he is behind his clients, also that kill occur after encountering each Utterson a Hyde, probably Hyde kill Carew for warning to no longer follow him.
ResponderEliminarI think he did it to show that he has power over others, and that his evil can go beyond certain limits, and that he doesn't care what others think, so I don't think he killed him for some personal reason, it was simply to show that he has more power over others.
