Best,
Jimena Rivadeneira, MA. TEFL.
b) In my opinion an identikit is very useful in many reason because it helps to the cops to recollect more witness and show with details to the possible guilty, but in the same time is not recommended if the investigation is more depth because that drawing is probable the mix of the traits of other people and the investigation would deviate from the real culprit.
ResponderEliminarYeah, I agree with you, it's a key piece in the investigation culture. It provides the authorities some characteristic traits of the suspect appearance.
Eliminara) It's not really clear in the book, but I guess to get rid of the murder evidence.
ResponderEliminarAccording to the book, polices said that the reason was that the murderer wanted to see very clear his victim, so the only thing that he found was those clothes to increase the fire.
Eliminara)He probably burned them to have more light to continue his murder because it must have taken time to leave the body in that state.
ResponderEliminarYes, the light is a big reason and also to erase everything of Mary Jane, not just her body but also her things.
Eliminare)I think some people want to collect evidences to make books about the murderer or for the news.
ResponderEliminari think that was for curiosity, in that time that event was someting unbelievable and new
EliminarI just think that thjere many people with mental problems, sothe just did it because it calls their atrraction
Eliminard) Why did Jack the Ripper send letters to the police? I think he did it as a joke, he did not wat to give them clues. He might wanted to keep them distracted in wrong things. Another thought is that the person who send letters was not Jack, that person could have been someone who knew a lot of the case or even a fan of Jack.
ResponderEliminarI agree with you, Jack maybe was just trying to play with the police by making his crimes a game and creating even more fear in people.
Eliminard) that letter purpose was to joke the police and to say that he is better than all of then and noone going to catch him
ResponderEliminaryeah i agree with you, At the end the police had not found the smallest clue.
EliminarYes, I think that some serial killers share something in common; they think that they have the control of the situation, and that nobody is going to catch them. And it is the same for other criminals like black hat hackers who also presume about their cybercrimes.
Eliminare)
ResponderEliminarFor curiosity, also maybe the person worked in a newsagent or wanted has a topic of conversation.
Specially young people liked to know more detail about the crime scene.
EliminarYes, maybe the people that paid to watch the crime scene wanted to more details but also there is the possibility that there were people interested in horror scenes and wanted to discuss the case.
Eliminarc) I agree with the psychological profile because in that time the daily activities were limited and most of the people knew your family history and actual activities. It was very difficult to hide your tracks in your own town.
ResponderEliminarI agree with you, also the police knew the form of Jack´s kill and with this, they can had more hits.
Eliminara) Jack burnt it because the place was dark , and he needed more light to do his horrible work.
ResponderEliminarI agree with you, also, that action show probably mental issues because probably "enjoy" see his actions.
Eliminare) In thesedays people did not have so many options to have fun. I mean, they couldn't go to the cinema to watch a horror movie with their friends, so I think the murder scenes were so curious for them. I think that I would also pay for it.
ResponderEliminard) Jack the Ripper know what he did, and the impact on society about his actions; first grow his "ego", when he send a letter to the Police Station, he probably wants the polices know about the "authority" he has and never found him. Second, personality I think, the want the police think about how they've probably already interviewed him and never figured it out.
ResponderEliminarYeah but there could also be to make the police lose their temper, and not thinking clearly. In that way he could escape Whitechapel easily, as policemen were not thinking properly, due to his emotions, so they will not be able to predict Jack´s next movement.
Eliminarb) An identikit picture helps to find particular features of a person, such as mustaches, eye color, nose, or hair. Nowadays, that information can be compared with databases of the police and easily capture the killer.
ResponderEliminarI agree with you, of this way the people can identify the criminal more easily throught a lot of people.
EliminarI don`t know exactly why jack send letter to the police, but probably are for enjoy or just some warnings for them
